These terms govern your use of SimulRRSP (published in French as SimulREER), an RRSP tax savings simulator for Canada available on the web, Android and iOS (the “Application”). By using the Application you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
1. What the Application does
The Application estimates the income tax savings associated with RRSP contributions using published federal and provincial/territorial tax parameters for the supported tax year. All calculations run locally on your device.
2. Not tax, financial or legal advice
The Application provides estimates for general information purposes only. It does not provide tax, financial, investment, accounting or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional or for official information from the Canada Revenue Agency or Revenu Québec. Your actual tax outcome depends on your complete personal situation, which the Application does not know. Always verify important decisions with a qualified professional.
3. Accuracy and limitations
We work to keep the tax parameters current and validate the calculations against independent references, but tax rules change, announcements are sometimes retroactive, and errors are possible. The Application covers a simplified profile (employment income) and documents its known limitations in the interface. The Application is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
4. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Application, including decisions made in reliance on its estimates. The Application is free of charge; you use it at your own discretion and risk.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Application, including attempting to interfere with its operation, misrepresenting its results as official tax documents, or reselling it as your own service.
6. Intellectual property
The Application, its name, logo, design and content are the property of the developer. These terms do not grant you any right over them except the personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Application.
7. Privacy
The Application does not collect personal data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
8. Changes
We may update the Application and these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
